This exhibition of landscapes presents two painters of similar
philosophy. They are alike in their need to make the intangible tangible in their search
for the truth, alike in their love of the land and their reverence for those who have come
before them.
John Evans' collectors include the National
Museum of American Art at the Smithsonian Institution, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston,
Chase Manhattan Bank, AT&T, and PaineWebber.
William Chickillo's work is included in the
collections of British Airways, Polaroid Corporation, Arthur Anderson, Wildenstein
Gallery, and the Everhart Museum, among others.
