Skylake Gallery and the studio of painter William Chickillo occupy the renovated 110-year-old former Fleetville United Methodist Church. We are proud to have received a 2000 Scranton Chamber of Commerce Pride and Progress award in the Interior Design category, and a 2002 Countryside Conservancy Stewardship Award.

The gallery is an airy 1000 square foot space with 19' cathedral ceilings, newly finished surfaces, refinished original wood floors, and a new cable track lighting system to accommodate works of all media and sizes.

Perhaps you would like to rent the gallery for an upcoming party or meeting?  Catered events can turn the gallery into a refreshing environment for your group's social events of many kinds!

The name Skylake is interesting and appropriate for several reasons. The need to use the word "lake" developed from many avenues. Initially, a passerby or someone familiar with Bill's work might associate it with the landscape, Bill's focus. An interesting statistic, which some of you may know, is that there are seven lakes in Benton Township, the most of any township in Lackawanna County. It was not until we learned that the proceeds from the church's sale were given to a church camp in Windsor, New York that the name came to us. What is the name of the camp? Sky Lake!
